B-ride OLH, Bike Hut, Tunitas (from Woodside Townhall) 8:30 meetup

Member led club ride with leader. We are doing the challenging Tunitas Creek climb this week.  Departing from Woodside Townhall, we'll do a quick 5 miles warmup loop and heads up OLH. Regrouping at top, then drop down via West OLH, and merge in with hwy 84.  A thrilling fast ride down Rt 84, 20 miles to San Gregorio. We'll take a rest stop at the General Store, then head over to Tunitas Creek road. We'll visit the famous bikehut, snap some photos and then climb the queens stage of Tunitas Creek Road.  Its quite challenging and steep for 4.5 miles, it does smooth out near the top.  Regroup at the top and we'll do a safe descend down Kings Mtn road back down to Woodside.

For those of you training for full IM, you can start the ride from Lucky's by 7am and head to meet up with the group at Woodside town hall by 8:30.  That will add 30 miles to the ride.

Disclaimer:  This is a very challenging ride. Make sure you are self sufficient and have the direction to get back to the start. Some areas will not have cell services.  However, there will be plenty of follow bikers around for assistance if needed.

This is a "B rated" ride, riders need to be able to keep up with the pack at a pace of ~16 mph rolling terrain. We'll have a few re-group points along the way. However, this is not a "no-drop" ride. Please download the route onto your Garmin and be able to navigate home on your own.
