NTTS: Coached Group Training for First-Time Triathletes

Are you curious about triathlon but unsure where to start? NTTS is designed specifically for beginners—whether you're new to fitness or already active in swimming, biking, or running but haven’t combined all three.

Our goal is simple: to help you confidently reach the start line and cross the finish line of your first triathlon.

What’s Included in NTTS:

  • All Four Disciplines: Swim, bike, run, and transitions
  • Hands-On Clinics: Wetsuit fitting, open water swimming, race prep, nutrition, bike maintenance, and “brick” workouts
  • Integrated Training: Join regular club swim, bike, and run sessions with guidance tailored to beginners

Program
Overview

Kickoff Orientation starts off in February

Program Structure:

  • Clinic topics for session one (Feb–May): Introduction and Skills
    • Topics: Triathlon basics, gear, bike handling, swim technique, run form, transitions, open water swim prep.
    • Workouts: Group track runs, gradual trail runs, bike handling & flat fixing clinics, group rides, open water swim practice, brick workouts (bike + run).
  • Clinic topics for session two (June–Oct): Integration and Race Prep
    • Focus: Combine all disciplines, race simulation, preview races.

Goal Race: Tentatively slated in the fall

Extras: Nutrition guidance, bike maintenance, wetsuit tips, volunteer opportunities.
