🌧️  Still raining!

If rain calms down, we'll go out from Luckys' and do our base ride to Woodside Canada and Water Temple.  If rain too bad, then just go on your own.  Be careful.

Our favorite base training rides. From Lucky's out and back to Pulgas Water Temple.  Optional, go all the way to 92 intersection and that adds 6 miles.

Ride start: Lucky’s North Parking Lot arrive by 9:00AM, roll at 9:15AM
2175 Grant Rd, Los Altos, CA 94024

** Please note the Lucky management has told us a few times to park cars inside the gate.  Please be compliant as we really appreciate Lucky's generosity on letting foothill bikers to use this parking lot for so many years.

Here are some hints and tips:

1. Drive to Lucky supermarket, and park to the back left through the gate.  Yes, we know it is confusing, but this is where Lucky wants us to park.  See picture above.

2. Generally, the ride starts off moderate, but picks up at the first climb.  You don't have to do the entire ride, and we normally regroup at mile 13 when Portola and Alpine meet.  This is a great turn around for 26 miler.

3. After the mid-point at 22 milers or so, we'll have a short break at the Water Temple off Canada Road.  There will be plenty of tasty water, and a bathroom. Bring your own snack.

4. The group with often split into smaller groups to push home harder.  Optional to head North to 92 turn around to add 6 miles to the ride. Make sure to have the course downloaded on phone or bike computer in case you get split from the main group.

5. There is a nice flat 3 running mile loop for a brick run after getting back to Lucky supermarket.
